  Ο Επιστημονικός διευθυντής του World Metereological Organization έγραψε σε σχετικό ψήφισμα: This decision poses an imminent threat to the research advancement in Greece as well as to ΝΟΑ itself as a famous research center/institution and definitively should not be supported! It seems that such suggestion comes from administrational / political persons that do not understand the important role and purpose of NOA and science. It seems that no consultation has taken place with the scientific experts and science managers who understand their business and importance, this is a shame. Definitively it does not «belong» to civil protection, research will unnecessarily suffer as it will mean operations only which is not in the interests of the country and how it is seen from abroad. Ελπίζω να υπάρξει το πολιτικό θάρρος, έστω και την ύστατη στιγμή, να αποτραπεί η αποκοπή του ΕΑΑ από το φυσικό του 'οικοσύστημα' (ΓΓΕΚ). Αναμένούμε από την κυβέρνηση και τους πολιτικούς μας προιστάμενους (Υπ.
