Paragraph 3 refers mainly to poker (see definition of “Other Online Games” in article 1). It is stated that other online games “shall be carried out in an establishment that meets the criteria of the applicable provisions and the specifications of this article and has been granted a Certification by HGC”. Given that this provision refers mainly to poker (both live and peer to peer) it is unclear how this regulation could apply to web-based peer to peer poker. As regards live poker, this provision clearly stipulates that all respective places shall be in Greece (see 12.3.1 et seq) which is pointless and shall be deleted. If the point is to regulate offer of live poker only, then the provision shall be limited to setting requirements in case the respective physical place is located in Greece (or other EU countries as we propose). Peer-to-peer online poker shall clearly be excluded from the scope of this provision.
