Dear Mayor Stratigos, I have had the pleasure of visiting Poros three times in my 31 years. The island consumes the visitor with unparalleled natural beauty everywhere the eye looks. It is impossible to take a bad photograph! The gracious waters beckon you to come for a swim... but I would think twice after a fish farm had moved into the waters! Just the whole idea is very sad. The tradition and simplicity of Poros life is sure to crumble... especially when money is the main driver. God has provided your island with many gifts, to which should be preserved and cared for, like your very own families. I plan to visit Poros again, and will be bring my husband and children. I pray that the right decision will easily be made. Otherwise, tourism will decrease, businesses will close and Poros will cease to be a peaceful place to live and visit. Let's not give the Sleeping Lady nightmares. Prayers echoing from the quaint little churches are sure to be: Preserve Poros, Oh Lord! With Sincere Regards, Stephanie Jane Zarras St. John's, Newfoundland 15 May 2011
