This suggestion of 21 days without charter licence achieves nothing whatsoever as Greece continues to observe their own cabotage rules. The ONLY way for Greece to generate meaningful revenue from foreign charter yachts cruising their waters and wintering in Greece is to abolish the cabotage once and for all and invite free movement for commercial vessels, regardless of size as with most other EU Member States. At the same time, introducing a simple and transparent VAT structure would be well received. Greece has been bailed out 3 times by the EU in 11 years at a cost of €288billion so surely it is overdue to open up with no restrictions.
