Unfortunately once again the Greek Government has not come through with their promise to abolish the cabotage laws, the current proposal of up to 21 days is meaningless and will not encourage foreign flag vessels to be based/homeported in Greece. This is a tragedy as once again the vessels will use Greece just as a transient cruising area whilst spending huge sums of money in other EU and non EU neighbouring countries. Cabotage must be abolished and then Greece will attract a large number of vessels to be based/homeported in Greece which will have a huge positive fianancial benefit to the country.
