HACCI National Federation (HNF), represents the Hellenic Australian Chambers of Commerce from Victoria, Western Australia, Northern Territory and South Australia, embodying a vast network of businesses, industries, and professionals across the continent. With thousands of members nationwide, we serve as a unified voice for the Hellenic Australian business community, dedicated to enhancing trade efficiency and bilateral relations between Greek Australian entities and Greece. We have previously provided communication on suggestions to align with the Strategic goals The following we seek to submit as part of this consultation; With a centralized platform (diaspora.gr), this will enable mapping diaspora organizations and enhancing industry networks. Collaborating with established organizations like ours could offer a more resource-efficient approach by leveraging existing data, networks and processes. The strategic plan for online consular services would significantly benefit the Australian context, where some consulates face resource shortages, leading to waiting periods of 12-18 months or more. Centralizing and increasing access to critical services for Greeks abroad is paramount to ensure our connectivity with Greece and that our cultural ties to Greece are maintained for generations to come.
